Blocked culvert on corner of Mill Lane and Frog Lane
Reported via mobile in the Drainage category anonymously at 11:34, Wed 10 May 2023
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4536515.
I think the culvert has collapsed on the south west corner of the junction meaning the ditch on that side of the road cannot drain and consequently the road floods. The pipe under the road empties into the ditch on the eastern side of the road but the ditch is silted up so water does not drain to the pond. I also think there are plant roots blocking the pipe which also prevents water from flowing. As a result the road edge on the corner is disintegrating and there is flooding further up Mill Lane as the ditch backs up and this is affecting my property.

This is an updated photo from 4 November showing the flooding at the same site as originally reported in May 2023. The problem was reported 6 months ago and with all the recent rain it’s going to be much more difficult to fix it now but it’s vital it is done soon as the whole road is now becoming flooded, increasing the danger to all road users.
