9 inch deep hole in centre of footpath -dangerous

I narrowly avoided injury when I half stepped into this hole - it is very deep (much deeper than it appears in the photos) and you can sink your whole outstretched hand and wrist below the pavement level. There is no street lighting and it was totally invisible.

Investigation: Completed (Scheduled Maintenance) - Regarding this section of Bedford Road, we can confirm that this footpath defect has been made safe and an order for permanent repairs has been scheduled . This should be completed within the next 28 days. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
