Football continually played in kids play park

Reported via iOS anonymously at 17:07, Sat 29 April 2023

Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4500039.

Children and grown ups continually use the Walsingham Drive children’s play park to play football in. Even when families with small children enter, they continue. This is despite the park itself being surrounded by grassy areas big enough for playing football on.

As there is no signage up preventing this, I had very little to argue people shouldn’t be playing football within the fences when my five year old daughter was hit by a football two times in as many minutes today. The family involved didn’t even stop at this point until I loudly voiced my complaints.

Something needs doing. Either it’s a football pitch or a children’s play area. Signage needs installing to advise which it is!
