  • My apologies, works are raised to remove the two dead standing trees OS12 & OS33 and in hand to be completed by the contractor. Replacements have been added to the planting schedule 2023/24 and in hand to be planted next planting season starting in November running through to March 2024

  • As you can see the tree has been cut down but there doesn’t seem to be any sign of a new tree being planted! There was a dead tree further up the road outside I think is no:12 which was cut down and a planting stake put in the ground. As usual I am told my report is fixed but yet again it isn’t!

  • Thank you for your comments. The enquiry has been closed down in error and the contractor is in hand to return to grind out stumps so that the tree's pits can be replanted before the end of the planting season which is the end of March. Please note we are planting trees batch by batch for each Ward and tree planting for this ward has not started yet.

  • Tree works are prioritised according to the risks posed and unfortunately stump grinds have a low priority that does not make them less important but they are prioritised differently. A replacement tree for this tree pit is on the planting schedule 2023/24 and the contractor has been made aware of this and will prioritise the stumps removal ready for when the planting team arrive on site to replant in February.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This issue was resolved earlier today by the planting contractor removing the stump and planting a replacement.

  • I took the attached photograph this morning 24/2/24 and as you can see the stump has not been removed and therefore no new tree has been planted as per the update received yesterday 23/2/24 (see below) from Bromley Council,Serious questions need to be asked of the contractors who reported this issue as complete.

  • My apologies, the enquiry was closed down accidently. We are trying our best to replacement plant this tree pit by the end of the planting season and considering the use of external contractors for the stump grind to facilitate this.

Posted by Bromley Council at 13:53, Friday 8 March 2024

  • Still absolutely nothing has been done, so I guess I’ll just have to wait till the next planting season! What do we pay our council tax for?

Posted anonymously at 11:32, Friday 29 March 2024

  • Please accept our apologies. Our term contractor is due to remove the stump by the end of this week. Separately, we have organised for a new tree to be planted by the planting team for early next week.

  • The new tree has now finally been planted. Thank you!
