  • I spoke to lady on landline on 20July: said 2 paving slabs had been fitted, but the rest of the muddy mess needs to be dug out & replaced with tar-mac in order to match up with the rest of the pavement. BUT, If you decide to plant a tree there, I cannot object & I would look after it. Something colourful wld be nice. It would survive me, of course. (no sycamore please). Jean Soanes

  • Another 4 new paving slabs were added outside my house. My initial memo in April2023 referred to the area left after the tree was removed several years ago. The area which I asked to be repaved was the area where the tree was, because it was just abandoned for many years. No effort was made to plant a new tree, leaving a messy area - as I said. Then a post was placed there by a man in a lorry. I then suggested a tree would be ok - better than the current mess - but nothing happened.. So please either plant a tree or tarmac the 'mess' with some thin, smooth tarmac in line with the rest of the street, which has slabs, with tarmac on the edge of the footpath. See my message of 24 July 2023 and/or speak to Councillor Rowlands. Perhaps he can sort this out or maybe visit the site? J.Soanes

  • Please accept our apologies for the poor communication regarding the replacement planting for this empty tree pit. A beautiful Japanese Cherry Pandora with pink blossom has been selected for this plot to compliment site. We envisage the planting team will plant the tree in the next couple of weeks.
