Residents trashing public grass with leaves and blossoms from their tree

Reported via mobile in the Litter/Leaves category anonymously at 19:14, Monday 17 April 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4452860.

As no actions were talking by the Council for the past weeks to stop the residents of N53 Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY from destroying the public grass left and right of their driveway, the issue is getting reported again!

At the end of Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY between N53 and N55 last year dead leaves from nearby tree damped on grass resulting in grass area been severely damaged. This year tree blossoms again were damped on another area of grass next to already damaged patch, which eventually will have the same effect of damaged grass area with more fallen tree blossoms swipped on top from the nearby tree. Damped dead leaves and fresh tree blossoms also block street drainage next to it, resulting in high level of still water during the heavy rains. Both grass areas left and right needs to be cleaned and possibly re-seeded where necessary.

  • The residents of N53 Dawson Avenue, BR5 3AY had disregarded the fact that Bromley Council had come to clean the public grass patch front their tree blossoms that they dumped several days ago and did it all over again! The public grass patches left and right of N53 driveway are now covered with tree blossoms again. Please pay the visit to the house owners at N53 to warn them of their actions and issue the penalty for the deliberate actions leading to the public grass been destroyed as well as deliberate littering of the residential street.

  • The residents at number 53 Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY are continuing to litter the street and damaging public grass by damping their tree blossoms further down the street covering more and more grass area further away from their driveway.

The grass is getting more and more damaged by the deliberate actions of number 53 Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY

This is the 3rd time in a row since the grass was cleaned by the Council after first report for the past week.

Please stop this ignorant behaviour by sending Council representative to issue the warning and the penalty.

  • The report is not resolved or fixed, nothing was done at all - 0% As the title of the report suggest last year's rotten leaves had killed the grass on one side - non of the rotten leaves were removed, not even one! This year's blossoms were dumped on another side, again non were removed. In fact whoever came from the council swiped some freshly fallen blossoms back from the pavement to the already covered grass!

This is unacceptable, please come back and clean the grass properly on both sides completely. The side with rotten leaves where the grass is dead needs to be regenerated and reseeded again.

Please also provide the update if residents at N53 Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY were warned about their actions and if the penalty was issue for trashing public space. At the end of the day all residents are required to dispose all private garden waste appropriately without using public spaces as a dumping ground.

  • Please update on the progress of the issue. The public grass outside N53 Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY is still trashed with dead leaves and blossoms, the grass is damaged and the area looks untidy.

Nothing was done so far to properly clean and regenerate the public grass patches.

Please also report back if residents of N53 Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY were warned against future potential behaviour.

This is also the public offence that is need to be penalised. All residents are required to dispose all private garden waste appropriately without using public spaces as a dumping ground.

  • The issue has been re-attended and additional works completed???

Not a single bit of the issue was completed. Everything is still in the same state as before - dead last year's leaves are still covering the grass patch, preventing the new grass from regrow.

  • Inspected 18.5.23 outside 53/55 and grass has grown.

  • Misleading photo provided by the Council inspection taken from the distance rather than from above the grass. At the right side of the driveway at N53 Dawson Avenue BR5 3AY facing the road the tick layer of the last year's dead leaves in the middle of the grass has still exist - no grass regrow. This patch of dead lives was supposed to be cleared long time ago, instead Council keeps updating the issue falsely as fixed without lifting a finger!

  • This is how dead grass in the middle is looks like - not nearly "regrown" as claimed by Council inspection...
