Crack in the road after road work causing unbearable vibrations in my house at number 24

After some road work was done sometime in 2013, the road surface was not resurfaced properly and has now caused a large crack to run across the width of the road. This means, with the heavy vehicles and constant stream of buses that pass every couple of seconds on this fairly busy road, that two thumps occur over the crack every time a large vehicle passes, causing number 24 house (and the opposite and neighbouring houses) to experience distressing vibrations that shake the whole house. Every night I am woken up at least 5 times from my bed and the rest of the house shaking and am beginning to find it extremely upsetting and unbearable especially after living in this house with no problems for the past 21 years.
Please may this problem be sorted out as soon as possible - even if it is simply resurfacing the cracked area with tarmac to get rid of the bump, this would help matters tremendously. I really hope to hear from whoever is able to deal with this matter as soon as possible and look forward to speaking further.
