Damage caused by BANES road sweeper over a year ago

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category by Susan Ellen Smith at 11:22, Wed 5 April 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4401085.

The Road Sweeper was seen approaching this area of Bathford Hill, At that time there were no stones dislodged from the ancient wall . During a return journey by car about 4 minutes later, the lorry had passed this area of wall and gone into the village. Then there were stones on the road as attached photos, and the sweeper brush marks. As the angle of the wall is such, the brushes could not have brushed without making contact with the retaining wall. Thus the chances of the Sweeper lorry causing the damage is as near 100% the likely cause as could possibly be. There were no other vehicles about.
