The drain outside the house is blocked, causing a flood when it rains, the cars spray the pavement with muddy water, it makes the safe island, crossing and usable. Some cars drive on the wrong side of the keep left island to avoid the flood, making crossing the road with children, very dangerous.

This road is regularly flooded. It makes using the pavement dangerous for pedestrians. It’s hard to judge when you can walk safely without being soaked on your way past. Cars can’t avoid driving through once it gets very wide.

The highway gullies at this location have been inspected and found to be functioning. Unfortunately, the issue in some areas during periods of severe and heavy rainfall is that surface water drainage assets can reach maximum capacity preventing rainfall from draining away quicker than usual from the road surface which can then cause problems from mild ponding to actual flooding of the area. If this issue recurs during normal rainfall, please raise under a new report and we will re-investigate with a view to arranging remedial cleansing works. This report is now closed on FMS
