It never gets cleaned

Reported via iOS in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 15:24, Thu 30 March 2023

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4377804.

This is always a problem, constant litter here and it doesn’t help when the cleansing services actually cause litter when putting the contents of the bins into the mobile compacter unit. Litter falls to the ground and it is just left there.

  • It’s just never swept up by the council, I know it’s not entirely their fault as the don’t drop the litter, but there is some litter that falls from the wheelie bins when they are emptying them in to the MCU

  • Mainly the rubbish comes from the bin lorry operatives not lifting rubbish that falls from the bin/ lorry when the PTO is used, rubbish falls, hits the ground and left there then the wind blows it. It could be argued , that it keeps the street sweepers in a job, but alas they are non existent.
