Numerous pot holes all joining together to form one giant pothole at junction of Avalon and chelsfield
Reported via mobile in the Road Defect category anonymously at 14:45, Wednesday 29 March 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4373026.
There are many many potholes here at the junction of Avalon road and Chelsfield lane. There is so many of them they’re all joining together. Mostly caused by the (gas?) works that were done there in the last few months, they did a terrible job of filling in the holes they dug. I hit one pothole the other day as I turned into Avalon no my wheels actually turned the wrong way, fortunately I had a good hold on the steering wheel. The entire length of Chelsfield lane is a terrible patchwork quilt of holes that have been filled in. The whole road needs to be resurfaced.

There is no point in reporting anything to Bromley, all they will say is being investigated or passed to their contractors. Nothing will happen, they don’t investigate or pass it to their contractors it’s just words. You just watch how little the grass will be cut this season, Nothing changes with this lot.

Almost 8 weeks since I reported this, still appalling and getting worse. Been spray painted for a while now with no action. Even with your new contractors it’s still painfully slow getting anything sorted. Not good enough!

Will this be completed by the end of the summer in line with a recent statement by the Portfolio Holder responsible for such matters? Thanks

When I tried to report these before they were turned back at not being of concern or serious enough. They have got progressively worse. Will they now be considered for repair please? Could an inspection be made in the form of a visit? thanks

Now 10 weeks since I reported these potholes, still like driving off-road. Lots of pretty spray paint marking them up for weeks now but no action. Any time soon?
