Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 17:15, Tue 28 March 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4369469.

Van and burnt out sports car chassis ‘parked’ in same spot since at least Aug 2020 (see google maps streetview). Van is taxed every year. Signs it is never moved (vegetation/ tyres etc). No MOT. It is illegal to use the highway for this long term storage. It’s an OBSTRUCTION. Relevant case law is NELMES v HOWELLS TRANSPORT 1977. “The highway is not a store and it is intended for people in transit. Also PITCHER v LOCKETT 1966.

  • Amazing- the van has moved! Now it’s just the litter filled car frame, covered by a shroud, which is being stored in the road.
