Gates locked early

Reported via desktop in the Security Issues category anonymously at 12:54, Monday 27 March 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4363812.

• Please give brief details of your complaint or compliment below:: I went to Norman Park this evening, I drove to take my dog for a walk (Sunday 26th March). I parked in the Hook Farm Road Car park at 7pm. I checked the time the gates closed - 8pm in March. Proceeded to walk the dog. I arrived back at the car at 7.30, started to drive out the car park to find the gates already locked. This is completely unacceptable especially as I was on my own as a single women and it was getting dark. If someone has a job to do they need to do it at the actual carpark closing times and not before. There were also other people still in the park at this time. • What action (if any) would you like us to take?: Don't lock the gates before the allocated time, make sure your emergency telephone number actually works and please provide me with an explanation as to why the gates were locked early. • Have you already spoken to somebody in the Council about this matter?: no • If yes, and you know who you spoke to please provide details and dates:: I tried to but your number wasn't working properly.
