Public footpath leading from Downs Avenue to Elmstead Lane - Signage on Lampost needs replacing as the 'do not drop your dog poo or penalty poster' has crumbled and hanging off' with no way of putting up again. Please can a new sign be placed on the lampost. Dog Poo is being left again in the alleyway in various places. Some People just take their dogs down the alleyway for this purpose.

One new sign has been placed on the lamppost but so high up no one would see it. Not sure why it cannot be placed slightly lower down. Also 1 sign either side of lamppost would help so people coming up the alleyway would see it and going down In other direction. There are several collections of dog poo in the alleyway today. Is there a bag dispenser which can be put in the alleyway? Thank you

Our service provider has inspected the sign and confirmed this is the best suitable position to avoid the sign being pulled down. This report will now be closed.

Is it possible to have signs slightly lower down and in the each direction that people walk up and down. The sign has been put up facing the other side of footpath and so unless you stop at the lampost and look up high you wouldn’t see the sign. I’ve had to go down alleyway several times to pick up other peoples dog poo otherwise people walk it everywhere. Apologies to keep on but please consider more signs.

Thank you for your further comments
As outlined above the signs are placed in a position so they are not damaged or cause a nuisance to people at head height, our service providers will also look at placing another dog sign in the vicinity in the coming days.
This report is now closed on Fix My Street.
