Blocked drains causing localised flooding
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 15:12, Fri 7 February 2014
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 3 minutes later
Blocked drains in "main" road through Little Wolford village, especially in the vicinity of the drinking fountain, causing localised flooding and torrent of water down Rosary Lane.
Still open, via questionnaire, 20:43, Fri 7 March 2014
Two gullies in the main village road have been jetted, which has reduced local puddling, but dye testing by Severn Trent Water has confirmed a broken pipe downstream of these gullies, so water is now finding its way to the surface in Rosary Lane before continuing downhill to the nearest patent gully. County Highways have agreed to repair the pipe, but there is no indication as to when this might happen: hopefully some time in the new financial year....

Almost getting used to having a stream running down the lane. Perhaps I should intercept the flow to water the garden....
