This badger set has been expanding for a number of years. The build up of soil from the set has now made the path dangerous to use due to the mud and very uneven surface

  • Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've inspected this location and I don't agree with your statement that the bridleway is dangerous to use. The hole that has been created by the Badgers has two road cones inside the hole and the area has been barriered off, unfortunately member's of the public move these barriers or push them over. The section of this bridleway from Queensway to Gates Green Road is uneven and very muddy and the mound that the Badgers have created, is keeping the wooden hoarding in place that has also been disturbed by the Badgers, but there is enough room to walk round. Badgers are a protected specie and the Highway Authority is limited on what can be done to resolve this problem. I will be visiting site with the Badger Society to gain further insight and the area will be monitored. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, kind regards. JPR - 30/03/2023
