Please could we have a public litter bin somewhere just here along Graveney Grove

Reported via mobile in the Public Litter Bin category anonymously at 14:01, Thursday 23 March 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4350259.

There is always a huge amount of litter blowing around the road and into our gardens - it would be great to have somewhere where people can put their litter as they are walking by/litter could be picked up and disposed of in the bin.

  • Thank you for your report.

Any installation of new and additional bins is only undertaken after a period of monitoring to determine the benefit against the additional costs of ongoing emptying and at this time Bromley council do not currently have plans to install a bin at this location. The area has been attended litter picked and cleared. This report will now be closed.

  • This is really disappointing. The insufficient open recycling bins that you provide mean that litter just blows out and around our street. A hun would help us keep it tidy and encourage people passing to throw their litter in the bin rather into our grass verges, gardens and along our street.

Can you confirm when the additional monitoring took place? There is litter all over the street every day.

  • I think there has been a system error as the previous response has been repeated. Can you confirm when the monitoring took place? And how often is litter picked and removed?

  • As stated above there are no current plans to add further litter bins to this location. No additional bins would be added prior to a monitoring of an area. .
