Due to A11 maintenance increased traffic and over night many heavy maintenance lorries have caused many potholes which have now, belatedly been overfilled . This has caused much more overnight noise caused by traffic bouncing off the raised lumps.

The increased nightly noise is disturbing sleep of people living on this route. I do not know which department is responsible for the atrocious mess made filling these potholes but they certainly need to address this problem. Further more are there plans when the current A11 works are complete to resurface theB1172 through Wymondham.

Updates

  • There is continued noise night and day due to increased traffic flow due to diversions because of A11 roadworks. Exiting from side roads into this traffic is causing problems. Especially between Station Road traffic lights and the Waitrose/Plice headquarters roundabout. This road is really breaking up with potholes some of which have been overfilled and are now lumps which cause noise when driven over.
