Light Pollution

Sent to Norfolk County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 43417.

There is a street light directly outside my bedroom window. The lamp is only a short distance from the house and is greatly disturbing my circadian rhythms. I suffer from seasonal affective disorder and the light shining all night into my bedroom is greatly disturbing my sleep and making the condition much worse.

I am requesting that the glass pane of the lamp that faces my house be blacked out in some way. Alternatively that the lamp is switched off at 10pm each night.

The lamp in question is outside Winkles Row, off King Street, Norwich NR1 2BW.

  • The council haven't even bothered to contact me. I did get an email saying it was being passed on to the correct offices but then nothing.
