Tree struck by vehicle.

Reported via mobile anonymously at 00:01, Tue 21 March 2023

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4337985.

Again we have the reoccurring issue of hundreds of pounds being spent replacing the tree with another, this is now tree number 4. It obviously isn’t working, when will you raise the kerb or fit a steel barrier? Whoever considered the drop kerb a good idea needs to revisit school.

Updates

  • New tree that was planted has now been struck again, please can we have a more permanent safety device fitted? The tree will not work until it is 20 years old, this requires concrete & steel to fix the problem of vehicles manoeuvring onto the footpath.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Its now happened again! Same issue as before, vehicles reversing onto pavement, steel barrier or post is required. Tree is ineffective, needs attention.
