Heavier vehicles cause 'hammeing'

Certain heavier vehicles are causing my house to vibrate and in particular my front door to 'hammer' as they pass over the road where it was previoulsy worked on. This has happened before. It seems to me that previous repairs have not properly addressed the substrate as the top/surface layer collapses into the trench over time.
