Collapsing Manhole Cover

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4334065.

Manhole cover in middle of 2 lane carriageway, Gosport Lane, Lyndhurst, is collapsing. Lorries going over it are causing houses on The Meadows next to the carriageway to vibrate quite noisily. Location approx half way between exit from New Forest Council and Goose Green, where there are white arrow markings on the road, showing straight on in left lane and bearing right in right lane. Problem been there for some time, has been chalk marked for fixing previously, but never done, and chalk marking long gone, now getting worse and potentially dangerous.
