Traffic jumping red lights towards Kettering

Reported via mobile in the Request Timing Review category anonymously at 16:35, Sun 19 March 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4331645.

When traffic is exiting St Botolphs to join A006 traffic at time is not stopping & jumping red light. Possibly because the pedestrian crossing is green an is confused with the signal just a few meters behind. A few near misses have been witnessed here. Is there a sensible design fix for here?
