Missing trees

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 13:58, Saturday 18 March 2023

Sent to Folkestone and Hythe District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4328457.

In the last year there have been 3 trees removed from Southbourne Road , apparently because they were deemed unsafe . However , looking along the road it looks like there are at least 7 trees that have gone/ been cut down in the years that I have lived in this road and now another one ( a Cherry tree) has been tagged for removal . Can you tell me when these trees , at least the 3 that have gone this last year , if not all , will be replaced as their loss is to the detriment of the road and the local area . Thank you

  • There are 2 places along the east side of the road ( even numbered side ) that trees could be planted straight away as there are no existing roots to remove. I cannot understand why , at least these 2 ,haven't or can't be addressed quickly and easily
