Dead tree needs removing
Reported via desktop in the Tree Requires Pruning category by Liz Anderson at 19:28, Thursday 16 March 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4322640.
This tree fell across a footpath ages ago. Emergency work was done to clear the path. The rest of the tree was almost hidden in an overgrown area. The area has now been partly cleared. This is on the birch lawn, west of the lower the lower lake

Thank you for your comments. Tree works are prioritised according to the risks posed and dead and dangerous trees will always take priority over clearing a fallen small tree, it is not to say the works are less important but they are prioritised differently. Works are raised in relation to the enquiry and a team is in hand to visit site to clear the tree. Thank you for your patience.

The dead tree is still at the side of the birch lawn. We agree it’s good to leave cut down trees for wildlife but please can this be moved off the birch lawn. Today we tidied up the recently felled birch logs near the lake, by the birch lawn to create what looks like a managed log pile wildlife area. This tree could be moved there, but it’s too heavy for us to move. Thank you.

Thank you for tidying up the logs by the lake. Dead wood is important for wildlife habitat and food source and as it slowly breaks down improves the soil. The contractor is in hand to visit site to clear the tree from the edge of the birch lawn. Thank you for your continued patience.
