Parking in a turning point

Reported via iOS in the Obstruction to Highway category anonymously at 12:46, Wednesday 15 March 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4316202.

Im not complaining about these particular vehicles, but by them parking there - not working there - within the turning point, other vehicles that need to turn are forced to drive onto residents’ private drives to do so. There are children resident who will naturally assume they are safe on their own drive, but they are not safe if unauthorised vehicles are forced into private drives to turn.

Please can Bromley establish a full time no parking restriction within both the turning points? The other side of the same turning point is the fire service water supply point, and should NEVER be obstructed.

Thank you.

  • The traffic engineering team have looked at this location an do not deem it necessary for parking restrictions to be introduced. Parking in the Borough is a premium and restrictions are only introduced where absolutely necessary. Durley Gardens has off-street parking and vehicle can still turn around at the turning point. Any issue here is likely to be a temporary one, not a constant one.
