Damaged new trees

Reported via desktop in the Young Tree Requires Maintenance category anonymously at 07:55, Wednesday 15 March 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4314776.

Council planted 4 new trees on the green last week. Retaining straps to hold the trees in place, whilst they grow, have all snapped/become undone. One tree (see photo) has already snapped in the wind and a second is about to also break. All the trees need to be resecured and a replacement planted for the broken tree.

  • This is so sad for the community of the Hillcrest road green. After being on the councils planting list for two and a half years, only to have this happen the week after they were planted. We urge the council to please act swiftly to re-secure the our trees before they snap and replace the broken one.
