Road is sinking and difficult for vehicles to pass by
Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 12:41, Tuesday 14 March 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4311828.
There seems to be a sinkhole forming (road giving way) and a medium size cave-in of the road and the kerb. The road surface is still intact however. Hard for vehicles to pass through.

Not properly done. The dent in the road continues further for a wider cross section which hasn't been filled either. And whilst the contractors were there, it would have been nice to cover up the nearby very visible minor potholes too.

Thank you for your update, Our investigation has now been completed and at present no further works are required at this location. The investigatory levels for repair in the footway are trips of 20mm or above, or if the slabs are loose and rocking severely. Paving is not replaced if just cracked. In the Carriageway it is for localised immediate vertical deflections measuring 30mm deep or more in the trafficked directions. This does not mean that all defects that reach this level will be repaired, just that they may be considered for repair. The area will be regularly monitored and further repair raised when/ if necessary.
