Empty grit bin being blown around the road

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4310641.

This grit bin has been empty for months and keeps getting blown around the street, often in to the road. It’s dangerous. Please either fill it or remove it as it’s rarely used.

  • If you're going to remove it Kingsmead has a long list of locations where grit bins are needed that has been provided to Councillor Ben Crystall. As such if you do plan to remove it can it be relocated to one of these? The ideal one would be on Foxholes, at the top of the wooden stairs that are used by children and parents to go to Wheatcroft School and the two preschools as these steps get very slippery and there is a long fall to the bottom.
