I walked into this overhanging awning last week, with my umbrella up in a sleet storm, injuring my eye. This needs immediate attention, given the high winds.

  • I've just popped in, now the shop is open and the owner is very aware of the issue and has been trying to contact a handyman to fix it for the past week. He apologised for the whack to the face I sustained when two of my umbrella spokes broke on my face when I walked into the broken awning!

    The repair has not been made. A heavy awning is being held up by a flimsy piece of wood. This is a(nother) accident waiting to happen. My own injury missed my eye by centimetres. Please have an officer either visit or issue a penalty notice.

    This issue remains unresolved. All it takes is a high wind and the awning collapses over the pavement. It needs repair or replacement now.
