Really bad litter all along the verges and in the trees

Sent to Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4279187.

We go on the A46 every other week to visit my daughter. The litter problem is getting much worse every time we travel, please can I report this? I cannot give a precise location as it is constant from where we get on the A46 from the M1 21A to the junction by the Watermead turn off at The Hobby Horse pub. There is tons of plastic litter on the verges and stuck in the trees. After the Hobby Horse we go left on the A46 and the litter is intermittent but there are swathes of it all along the roads, quite bad by the Bingham turn off and beyond.

Please can I ask if there is a schedule for clearing the roads of this litter? It is really appalling at the moment, northbound and southbound.

  • The A46 is terrible, a big clean-up was scheduled I believe starting in April but I do not see any improvement
