Trees need pruning
Reported via desktop in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 10:47, Friday 3 March 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4278946.
Due to the narrow roads and to avoid collision with an oncoming vehicle (lorry), the vehicle had to make its way closer to the nearside verge where a tree branch was protruding into the road.
This is common area for collisions with trees, as we have had to replace 4 mirrors to date on 4 separate occasions.
Can you please ensure that the trees are cut back and not causing a hazard to larger vehicles.

In order for our tree officers to safely review the full length of this road and write works orders or request private land owners to cut back their private vegetation, we will close the road here to undertake the survey in June. This will also allow us to assess all trees for Ash Die Back Disease which may require that trees are felled. We will then issue the works orders and/or notices to private owners to rectify the issues raised. We endeavour to complete these multiple steps as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued patience.

During today's road closure our tree officers cut back several low branches and have marked up further trees for felling. Please note it will take some time for the trees to be felled due to the probable need to close the road again in order for tree surgeon crews to work safely. This enquiry will now be closed.
