House on corner Briscoes Avenue - Mowcroft Road - garden and pavement full of furniture and rubbish

Reported via desktop anonymously at 10:44, Wed 1 March 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4273182.

This particular house as furniture, sofas beds mattresses etc. dumped in the garden and on the pavement. there are also other council houses in Mowcroft Road which could do with bringing up to a general standard. Do the council not check anymore on how there properties are being cared for. there is no need to make the area look untidy. Hartcliffe has a bad name as it is. why is it some people have no respect and get away with treating thier homes so badly. If it was a private rental the owner would be discussed at the misuse of there property. Send a council worker to walk up Mowcroft Road and address this issue. Please, I have just moved into this area, and I am shocked at the lack of repect some people have, they have been given a home by the council. There are people who would love a house/home and would not abuse the kindness of Bristol city coucil.

  • Some rubbish has been removed so looks better, but the house still looks horrible and the image doesn’t do it justice.

  • The garden still needs the rubbish cleared. There are quite a few houses in this street that the council need to address with the occupants, if you are given a house to live in by the council respect that some poor people would love a house and they would look after it. When I first had my council house many years ago you dare not abuse it or an officer would be round to tell you to sort it asap.

  • The rubbish and furniture that has been dumped in this corner house is disgusting and brings the whole neighbourhood down. These occupants have destroyed what was a beautiful house and garden. BCC NEED TO REMOVE THE RUBBISH/FURNITURE AND THE TENANTS!
