Bad paint on Pedestrian crossing again.

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:09, Tue 28 February 2023

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4270391.

Last year I reported the problem of poorly painted pedestrian crossing outside of the Co-op here in Mulbarton. I now have to report this problem again after less than a year. What ever paint was used didn't last long and the crossing is back to how, if not worse than it was before. Another near miss today as the lights are difficult to see when the sun shines on them. I do feel as before this will end up with someone getting hurt!

Updates

  • The crossing has not been fixed, I have heard from the Highways Dept but I am still not happy as it is a very busy crossing. There are calming bumps coming from the main village but none coming from the Bracon Ash direction so vehicles can arrive at speed near the crossing, on a bright day the crossing lights are not easily visible!

  • This is getting worse, the lights on the crossing unless dark is a joke, and more paint worn off the road...very bad for a busy crossing used by children and mum's on school collections, not to mention elderly folk!
