Work cars and vans parked dangerously
Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 11:53, Tue 28 February 2023
Sent to Cardiff Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4270303.
Berryman property developers are converted a property on Whitchurch. The pathway and road have been blocked for probably 5 months. They constantly park on double yellow lines and block the road. Soberton avenue now only has single car access as their fencing is getting further and further into the road. I spoke to one van owner just now and he said he is allowed to park there for 20 mins on double yellow lines He’s been there for well over an hour already and isn’t loading or unloading, totally blocking the view from both directions. I have phoned the highways dept on several occasions and contacted my local councillor but nothing changes. Two cyclists almost collided with a car due to poor visibility. I use the lane now as I don’t feel safe crossing with my grandchildren anymore. Please please can you get them to show a little respect to the recidwnrs. It’s not much to ask. Police and wardens are not interested but if I parked there, I’d be booked

It’s now 14.21 and the lorry in the picture is still parked on the yellow lines and has been since I saw it there at 10.30 this morning or maybe before

They continue to park on the double yellow lines both on soberton avenue and Whitchurch rd, blocking vision of cars trying to turn. I give up as the police never book them, highways are not interested
