Urgent potential health hazard
Reported via iOS in the Blocked Drain category by Alison Stammers at 13:46, Saturday 25 February 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4262918.
In addition to sewerage seeping from two manholes on the grass on Chislehurst Rec we now have what smells and looks like sewage coming out of drain into the open ditch in Chislehurst Rec.
It stinks and presents a health hazard to children playing in the rec eg retrieval of footballs, and animals, particularly dogs, who go down into the ditch.
Rang your out of hours line but told they cannot deal with hazardous waste and to call on Monday!!
To protect the public the Friends of Chislehurst Rec (FOCRG) have put up a warning notice.
Please investigate this urgently and barrier off the whole of this area - the ditch and manholes. The tape for the sewage seep reported earlier this week is completely inadequate.
Please report back to me with an update urgently. Thanks Cllr Alison Stammers
