No cycling signs

Reported via desktop in the Request for Park Infrastructure category anonymously at 10:26, Saturday 25 February 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4262403.

Can you please make the No Cycling signs more visible in South Hill Wood. They are very small and regularly ignored. At the Tootswood Road gate the sign is on the gate but this is unlikely to be seen when the gate is open. If one tells a cyclist there is no cycling you get met with abuse which is not very nice. The sign on the noticeboard at the Westmoreland Road gate has been removed altogether. I would appreciate your attention to this problem. Thank you.

  • The signs you have installed are tiny. Larger signs need to be placed so they are visible at all entrances. I was abused again this morning by a cyclist riding through the park. I said politely "there's no cycling in here' and he said "I'm only going at walking pace, does it bother you?" I said "actually it does because if you just bend the rules to suit yourself then that's where things break down" He said "well I'm just going to carry on, get on with it" What can you do when faced with arrogance like that!!!
