Council removed a long standing healthy tree last year

Reported via desktop in the Tree roots lifting pavement category anonymously at 17:26, Thursday 23 February 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4258682.

The council removed a long standing, healthy tree last year and it is growing back as the roots were not fully removed. It will cause an obstruction for partially sighted people and needs to be removed fully with a new tree, that was promised, planted to replace the perfectly healthy, as evidenced by the continued new growth, tree.

  • A seemingly healthy tree was removed by the council last year. We were told it was going to be replaced with a new tree. No new tree was ever planted and the old, supposedly diseased tree is growing back and is starting to grow towards the pavement outside 121 / 123 Lennard Road, Beckenham.
