Large manhole in the pavement outside house called Hazelvere which is a trip hazard

This manhole has been a trip hazard for ages. I’ve even commented on it to people. One edge of it is sticking up above pavement level. This morning on our way to school my 7 year old granddaughter tripped over the bit that sticks up, and landed on her hands and knees. It is a continuing hazard particularly to children and the elderly.

About 10 days after I reported the problem someone chalked a white cross on the offending manhole. However about a week later melting snow removed the chalk. One day last week I saw workmen examining inside the manhole. However the issue I raised has not been fixed. The manhole is not flush with the pavement and is therefore a trip hazard. Also it wobbles when on. Big fail!!
