New restricted parking sign post on narrow pavement

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction to Highway category anonymously at 18:47, Wednesday 22 February 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4255396.

Pavement excavated outside my property without even having the decency to notify me. A restricted parking control zone sign post is right outside my house so now I look onto a sign post. The next restricted sign is merely 15 ft away and this sign has been attached to a street light post. In the other direction there are 4 street light posts. I cannot understand why the post has been positioned right outside my property (which has cost the council money to dig the payment) when all they could have done is clip the sign to the other street light posts in the other direct. The pavement is narrow, post right outside my gate and now have to manoeuvre the wheel chair around it
