  • Hello, I am not satisfied with your response and the fact that you have closed this case.

I first contacted you last year in April 2022 and got the response saying that works would be completed in 2022. I then phoned you in June and August in 2022. It is now February 2023, the works are still not done and similarly to last year I get exactly the same response with no date being offered.

The trees are growing well into into the windows of houses 2D and 2C. The branches obscure light, and hit the the windows. Moreover during dry summers like we had in 2022 these trees present real danger to the foundations of the houses.

I am attaching the photos that show how the trees look now and last Summer. I hope it is evident that the works are long overdue.

I am also attaching the screenshot of email response that you provided last year.

I urge you to look into this case and provide me with more precise ETA of when the tree pruning works will be done. Can you please do that ?

I also would like to stress that it is important to get these works done before leaves appear again this Spring.

  • Thank you for your update. The trees on this road are on a 3-yearly insurance pruning cycle. Our records show that they were last pruned in 2020, so they are due to be pruned again this year. Our contractor is currently working through a backlog of work, and they will commence work on this road as soon as they can. We're therefore unable to provide a precise date, however, they will be pruned this year.

  • Hello, thank you for your response.

I do not think that your records are correct - these trees were last time pruned on 9 May 2019.

This means that this coming spring the pruning will be 1 year overdue.

For your convenience, I am now attaching the photos of the works as they were being carried out in May 2019. Note that time and geographical information is preserved in the files attached. And is confirmed by separated screenshot.

I urge you to prioritize the pruning works ahead of backlog in timely manner and plan for the works to be carried out this Spring.

Please can you treat this case with priority and get back to me with more precise estimates ?

  • Hello Bromley Council Team,

I have noticed that signs have been attached to the trees across the road, indicating that work will be carried out shortly.

However, I wanted to bring to your attention that the trees across the road were last pruned 3 years ago, while the trees next to 2D were pruned 4 years ago .

Could you kindly confirm if the trees next to 2D (which is the subject of this inquiry) will also be pruned at the same time?

    Thank you.
