Overgrown bushes, and thorny branches

Reported via mobile in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 13:05, Mon 13 February 2023

Sent to Hull City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4228271.

The bushes surrounding Landau Lodge are in desperate need of thinning and height reduction, there are very long dangling branches with long thorns hanging down, which are dangerous for pedestrians. The signpost for Easdale Avenue is getting overgrown again (last year when it was 'trimmed' the clippings were just left on the pavement) and must be around three feet behind the front edge of the bushes. Again this causes problems for delivery drivers.

  • I was there again today and it is worse than ever, although the brambles are now starting to fill out nicely. I think the property may be owned by the council and that is why it is as bad as it is.

  • Nothing changed, higher and wider, now making the footpath even narrower.

  • The bushes are now taller and wider, restricting free access along Easedale Avenue, and obscuring the street sign.
