Massive destruction of Road and Verge

Following the Road Close on the A5199 (Severn Trent Ref A6W/12738) all the villages Arnesby, Shearsby, Bruntingthorpe and Peatling Magna have sustained massive damage to the Road Side and Verges some of the potholes are a foot deep. This has been caused by mainly HGVs using these roads as the A5199 is closed. On a separate note the road from Shearsby to Arnesby is now complete why can this section not be reopened as far as Arnesby this would save a massive Detour for those living in Shearsby. According to Severn Trent this was the plan however following a meeting with residents they have been told the Highways have said it has to remain closed until all the work is completed.
