Deep potholes causing noise and vibration problems
Reported via mobile in the Road Defect category anonymously at 09:53, Monday 6 February 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
For a number of weeks now, deep potholes in the main road to the front of our property (No 48 College Road), have been causing considerable vibration and noise disturbance in the house . This is especially noticeable when the holes are being trafficked over by heavy vehicles ( buses and lorries).Vehicles tend to travel very fast along College Road, as there are no traffic calming measures in force , adding to the impact of the problem .The road is a major bus route so issues are frequent, throughout the day and at night time too.We are very concerned, that If the problem should persist for any further length of time, that it might eventually start to cause a level of structural damage and undermining to our property We would be most grateful if repair and resurfacing of the damaged areas can be attended to promptly please.

Further to the above report filed yesterday 06/02/23 regarding potholes outside ours and other properties (near no 48), I would ask for the council's seriously careful consideration that it is not just the potholes causing vibrations to both ours and neighbours homes and therefore potentially devaluing/making re-sale harder but also the serious increase in the speed and level of heavy vehicles and other vehicles which are careering down the road on an extremely regular basis...this simply did not happen some time ago. Aside of making living conditions less tolerable, College road also has a nursery for pre-school children, and several businesses and church all regularly used. We truly hope and pray that it will not be left to the merciless slaughter of someone's life that catalizes the urgent action we ask the council to make both in repair of potholes; also urgent traffic calming measures. With many thanks for hearing this.
