Tree shreddings

Reported via iOS in the Litter/Leaves category anonymously at 10:03, Sun 5 February 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4204407.

These 2 verges had stump removal of dead trees early in 2022. Shreddings have never been removed and have smothered verges. Can this be removed and verges re-instated.

  • It’s not the tree that needs remedial work. The shreddings that were created as part of the stump removal of mature dead trees have smothered the verges creating a large mound.

Can the shreddings be removed and the verges reinstated / re-seeded to improve the street scene?

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This has separately been reported under report no. 5135178. The empty tree pit is due to be planted up by the end of March which the planting team will attempt to tidy up the area. Then scheduled for spring when we have sufficient daylight and temperature, the plot will be re-evaluated to see what areas require re-seeding.
