Dngerous raised drain cover
Reported via desktop in the Manhole category anonymously at 19:13, Wed 1 February 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4194323.
My wife was driving along Middleton Road this morning towards Banbury Town Centre from the Ermont Way direction. The damaged drain cover is invisible going in that direction as the speed hump obscures the view. She's hit that with both left hand tyres and its punctured both tyres because of the sharp nature of the protruding drain cover!

I was driving along Middleton Road at 9am Thursday 2nd February driving towards Banbury Town Centre. The damaged drain invisible as speed bump obscures the view. I hit my front passenger tyre on left hand side causing it to puncture beyond repair, due to the drain cover protruding and sticking up.

I was driving at 4am Friday 3rd February 2023 and the numouros potholes on the crossing along with the raised drain pipe has burst both my passanger side tyres a gradual medium paced puncture on my front tyre and the rear went flat instantly, this is very dangerous and could cause more than just punctures.

My partner drove over this raised drain cover this morning. Hole in tyre wall as a result.

A whole week has passed and this DANGEROUS raised drain cover has still not been repaired! It’s beyond belief that numerous people (including ourselves who reported this initially after it punctured two tyres on my wife’s new car) have reported this and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! It’s not a pothole, it’s a DANGER to Motorists, Motorcyclists and Cyclists! About time someone from either the Council or Highways did something?!
