  • LBB, this clearly needs immediate attention and works carried out.

From the photo, it is evident that the drain is below the road surface. There are also extremely large cracks forming on both sides of the drain which appear to be heading in a circular outline as if it is forming a sinkhole.

Please also bear in mind this road is the only one that provides access for police vehicles in / out of the only operational police station in the borough. If a large sinkhole were to make the road unusable then LBB's residents and businesses would extremely suffer having to wait for officers to respond to calls from Croydon instead of Bromley.

If this road was to collapse and people were to be killed or seriously injuried, I would imagine that LBB will be facing very large law suits and very damaging public enquiries considering this has been reported to LBB and closed as NFA.

LBB has a statutory duty under The Highways Act to maintain and keep the roads safe for it's residents and on this occasion and quite frankly across most of the borough LBB is currently failing as the roads are falling to pieces across the borough and when it is reported to LBB it seems like potluck whether they will bother to fix it or not.

Please remember that people live and work in LBB and have a right to be and feel safe whilst they do so. They also have a right to drive on LBB's roads and not have their vehicles damaged / become involved in RTCs due to the roads being in such a poor state.
