  • Hi,

Large Pothole near Shortlands station caused damage to my alloy wheel and tyre. Replacement has cost £200. Incident happened 18th January PM on south facing side of the road opposite Shortlands station.

Some of the potholes on this road have been filled an others not. It is dangerous for drivers as they are hard to avoid.

I am a mum using a run around car that is not worth much for the school run. The car, while an old model, is very road worthy and just passed its MOT however I have paid 10% of its value on a new alloy and tyre due to potholes not being given prompt and adequate attention by the council.

I wish to put in a claim for compensation.

  • Any request for compensation relating to an issue on a Bromley maintained highway must be processed via an insurance claim process. Bromley currently have a shared Insurance Service with Sutton Council and an online claim form can be completed and submitted via Sutton’s website: https://www.sutton.gov.uk/ info/ 200436/ customer_services/ 1146/ insurance_service/ 2

  • This has damaged my alloys!!! Fix the bloody road!! Car is old and not ulez but I don’t fancy spending money on new tyres just yet!

  • Why has this not been fixed yet? It was reported in Jan and it’s going to be April tomorrow. Surely the increase in council tax should cover this sort of thing!!
