Hello, I want to raise my concerns about the extremely poor state of Pilsworth road and the Harry Hill cycle way adjacent to the landfill sites and leading up to the motorway junction. There has been a huge build up of litter, that I assume most of has blown from the landfill sites. There is a large build up of mud and silt along both sides of the road and the majority of the gullies are completely blocked causing localised flooding in several areas. When it is raining there is water running from several areas of the landfill sites onto the road and it becomes extremely hazardous when temperatures drop and the water freezes. The road surface leading directly up to the motorway junction can only be described as shocking, the road surface has completely worn away in large patches creating pot holes and very hazardous driving conditions. The majority of the street lights are not working making driving at night difficult. The trees adjacent to the road surrounding the landfill sites are well overgrown and protruding into the road in some places. I am astonished that the road has been allowed to deteriorate into such a poor state of repair and untidiness. If the very wealthy company that owns the landfill sites will not contribute to the maintenance of the road, foot paths and hedges enforcement action should be taken against them to ensure that they do as it seems most of the issues are being caused by the sites. The potholes should be repaired without delay hopefully preventing potential accidents not to mention damage to vehicles using the road. The gullies need clearing immediately to stop flooding. I await your reply but will forewarn you that if the situation doesn't improve within the coming months I will invite our local media to view the road and hopefully raise the matter on TV and Radio. I shall also report the situation to the relevant MP and the HSE as I believe there is a real danger to people's Health and safety being caused by the lack of general maintenance and repairs.
