Congestion on Belgrave Road

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 23:42, Sun 25 January 2009

Sent to Redbridge Borough Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 41635.

On Belgrave Road between Northbrook Road and Empress Avenue (where the shops are located) regularly has cars parked/loading on both sides of the road. This causes considerable congestion even with a few cars.

Perhaps if one side of the road had double yellow lines for no stopping at any time, this would be eased. Thank you

Updates

  • The situation at the junction of Belgrave Road and Northbrook Road is in fact getting worse. Not just a matter of cars parked at the meters along there but the area is like a truck park at times. In addition a lot of people seem to park right at the junction, which is a buy one. At least a double yellow line for 20 metres or so along Belgrave Road leading to the junction with Nortbrook Road would help, provided it is enforced.
